Quikscan Batocera

The genus Batocera currently comprises 55 species of which 53 originate from Eastern Asia and 2 from Africa. Generally, Batocera species occur in (sub)tropical areas and the climate in the Netherlands is probably not suitable for establishment for most species. Only a few species (B. horsfieldi, B. lineolata) may have the potential to establish in the Netherlands and cause significant damage to plants including commonly occurring tree species.
