Following this PRA report, Euzophera semifuneralis was not added to the EPPO A1/A2 Lists of pests recommended for regulation as quarantine pests in 2026, and therefore no risk management measures were proposed.

It was considered that E. semifuneralis poses only limited risk to the EPPO region as it is currently considered in North America to be only a secondary/opportunistic borer associated with preexisting damage or tree stress.
