Rapid assessment of the need for a detailed Pest Risk Analysis for the pink tea mite, Acaphylla theae. A serious pest of tea in almost all tea prouducing countries, this has been intercepted in the UK several times. There is no evidence to suggest this mite can infest major solanaceous crops such as tomatoes and potatoes.
