Description

Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum (Lso) is a highly damaging pathogen of solanaceous plants, which has caused very serious losses to the production of potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and aubergine. The principle threat from the pathogen is to solanaceous hosts through the introduction of the highly efficient Lso vector Bactericera cockerelli from North or Central America or New Zealand.
