Species distribution models predicting climate suitability for the psyllid Trioza erytreae, vector of citrus greening disease
Description
Godefroid M (2023). Species distribution models predicting climate suitability for the psyllid Trioza erytreae, vector of citrus greening disease. Crop Protection, 168, 106228. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cropro.2023.106228
Trioza erytreae recently invaded Atlantic coastal areas of the Iberian Peninsula.
•I calibrated species distribution models to predict the distribution of T. erytreae.
In Europe, models predict only the Atlantic coastal areas as climatically suitable.
The main citrus production areas of the world are predicted to be poorly suitable.
Models predict that main citrus-growing regions will remain poorly suitable by 2050.
